We bought this 1.5 years ago and its working great. Unlike our older LG refrigerators ice maker this one is working perfectly so far. Likes: Glass see through door second ice maker lunch meat drawer indoor ice/water dispenser and the openness. Dislikes: Too hard to adjust the shelving to accommodate the different size products and the price of the maintenance material ie: water/air filters to keep it running in tip top shape.

Overall great fridge

Ive owed the refrigerator for almost 3years. Be sure to have a thermostat inside your fridge. I have my desired temp set to 37degrees and my refrigerator temp is around 34-36degrees. Unfortunately the compressor went out and we lost all our food. They are supposed to last 7-10 years and it didnt even make it 3. Thankfully the refrigerator was under warranty and the customer service was great. Overall Ive been pleased with the refrigerator and the service LG had provided.

Within 1 year my ice maker in the door has stopped functioning on top of constant ice build up getting warranty service has been extremely slow paced at best still havent received service. Youd think paying a premium price for LG would get you a solid product and good service..wrong so far.

Elegant quiet and just right

I wanted to replace an old Amana that vame with the house as it had no water or ice dispenser and was just old. Researched and found a certain Korean brand to stay away from in this category. I have an LG washer for last 3 yrs that works great and Costco had this for a great price. The see theu door is great but would be nice if instead of a black finish they use the same steel look as the display panel on the other door. That way things inside are really not visible when light is off. Love the concept of partial door opening to get things in the door that way the fridge doesnt lose the chill. The compact ivemaker is the right size and the additional icemaker can be utilized for a larger need as it arises. The water filter is conveniently placed inside the refrigerator instead of under or some weird location. The filter has aftermarket replacement too so as not to shell out big money every six months. The Freezer is spacious for stuff that needs to stay cold. The temp settings for both sections helps one know the actual temps instead if a graded 1-7 scale. Freezer can be at 0 to 4F and fridge at 33 to 43F. Of the gripes the water dispenser doesnt hold a lot of water so if you want to fill a jug for the dinner table you should fill it and chill it. The dispenser is good for an odd glass of water. There is no tray to catch any dripping water. The trays for vegetables and fruit are less deeper than my old fridge. Also they can be opened by gripping at the bottom not top. I think that gives less chances of physical damage to the container and its tracks. Energystar rated so hopefully consumes less power. The gentle beeping if any door is open is a good thing. My old fridge was left open ever so gently without anyone realizing it till the next trip to the appliance.

Beautiful practical refrigerator with 1 big flaw

I purchased this refrigerator with a package of other LG appliances for my kitchen remodel. Sadly 14 months after purchase the fan has gone. No longer covered under warrenty with manufacturer but fortunately I purchased extended warranty. Took 8 days to get a tech out who told me what I had figured out and sent for parts. It will likely be another 10 days before its fixed.

I replaced my 35 yr old refrig/freezer because it was ugly and dated but worked fine. My new LG refrig/freeezer is very nice and has great features. However the compressor went out after 3-1/2 years. It was replaced under warranty but I am not impressed with LG and probably will never buy an LG product again.

Freezer door seal is incorrect for this model.

The freezer drawer seal has a quarter inch gap along the entire top edge. We have defrosted the freezer 3X in 2 months. Service replaced the seal with a similar one. Photo shows chilled air reading with door closed.

I love the refrigerator BUT the ice maker stopped working after 3 weeks which is unacceptable. I spent a lot of money for it to stop working in 3 weeks. I called to get it repaired had an appt set up and the day they were to come out if started working all on its own. Ive never seen anything like this. Product has a flaw that needs to be fixed so other customers dont have the same problem.

Our new refrigerator

We purchased this refrigerator several months ago. I love the door in door for storage of milk and other drink containers. We just recently discovered a handy little shelf below that area that we now have made use of. The freezer on the bottom is great and has drawers above the primary storage area which seems to add capacity maybe not really but it does make finding stuff in the freezer area easier. After exhaustive research we decided on the LG and have loved it from the first day. Dual ice makers that dont make craft ice a cavernous freezer drawer and the quick access door for the high use items that keeps the big doors closed more makes this very easy to live with. Its very quiet it keeps the freezer and the mid temp areas at the temperature set points.

Ice maker stopped working 2mo after purchase

Purchased Oct 2022. In door ice maker motor quit working Dec 2022. WOW For the price I paid for this refrigerator that is not acceptable. Yes it is still under warranty but shouldnt have to worry about this so soon. Customer service and tech were friendly and did a good job. First and last time I purchase an LG.

Have to manually defrost...

Weve had it for 6 months and it has been working great but it suddenly sounded like a giant air compressor was starting in our kitchen every time it kicked on. Unpleasant. I tried to schedule a warranty visit because this isnt right and someone could come out in 9 months I called and was told that the noise were hearing is likely a build up of ice and that they can send someone out but warranty only covers manufacturers defects so wed likely have to pay for the visit/service. They advised that we probably need to MANUALLY DEFROST by removing all our food and shutting it off and restarting it. Isnt this 2022/2023? In 24 years of home and appliance ownership Ive never had to manually defrost anything. Im worried that this will be a regular occurrence. This is a 2 day inconvenience and resulted in having to use an RV fridge and 2 ice chests. It seems that this is a known issue which to me should be considered a manufacturers defect. When its working and quiet the fridge is great.

Two door

Harry idea refrigerator 1/15/2023

I have always wanted a door in a door. They have met my needs of limited space in my kitchen allowing people to continue walking with the smaller door open. Its nice to get quick access to frequently needed item such as milk creamer jam butter and blueberries and raspberry for my wifes oatmeal. Also awesome to tap on the window to see inside to see if you are running low on those frequently replaced items. It was on sale which just added to its benefit.

I thought this was going to be great with the lighted window and compartment for items used more frequently. All as working great when the water valve failed about a month after install. Warranty service wax not prompt and the call center wasnt much help. Its been 2 weeks since I called to get the part to fix. The service provider called but he had no idea he needed to get a valve. Still without ice or filtered water

New fancy refrigerator

I went to a competitor and purchased a new refrigerator through many complications with the delivery cancel that order and went to Home Depot and found this refrigerator. I love the way that its got the different bands I like the ice in the bottom of the refrigerator because when youre wanting to put something like in a cooler or something like that make homemade ice cream youve got your large ice and then you got the crushed ice in the door with the water and ice dispenser. I like the bottom freezer drawer with the ability to section off different items through the fridge in the freezer. I especially like being able to open up the small door on the front to get the milk or whatever and being able to put all of your drinks in your juices I also keep my butter in the top right there in the easy display screen panel door

I purchased This refrigerator in Feb. 2019 and its already not working. The fridge and freezer stopped cooling. Doing some research I see a lot of customers are having the same issues. What a very poor product if the compressor cant last passed 3 years. Then Im finding out that LG doesnt even satisfy the customer even though the compressor has a 10 year warranty. This is not how a good company works. I will tell everyone about my experience and do everything in my power to make sure how this company operates.

Loves it until it stopped cooling

I loved this fridge right up until it stopped cooling. A few days before Christmas my ice seemed to not be keeping up then no ice then noticeable warm in the freezer. It was Christmas morning and my rolls were thawing as I took them out of the freezer. Then the fridge was completely warm. I could run the diagnostic on my phone and it detected no issues. Next day it said it was in defrost mode. I had called a repairman and they said I had a 150 pound paper weight. So I called LG as Ive only had the fridge 2 years. Now it is January 6 and I called December 26th and Im still waiting for a service call. It may or may not be covered and I havent had a fridge since Christmas. Its still beautiful and tells me on an app how many times Ive opened the door and detects no issues with sensors but the cooling system is shot.

A bit disappointing.

The ice tastes and smells terrible and has a chemical taste. Replaced the filter replaced the water line and still cant get rid of it. Added odor eliminators and that didnt help. LG sent a tech who arrived smelling like an ashtray and could not smell the issue I wonder why. 6 months into owning this fridge and it still hasnt gone away. I would return this fridge if I could.

A New Concept and Look

Bought this unit for its classy looks and modern design. I not only have a eye catcher from the outside but also a fabulous operating unit on the inside. The shelving design on the inside is great. It gives you spacious room for your food and it maximizes the inside space so that there is no wasted space. The drawers slide in and out with very little effort which makes using for products quick and easy. Not to leave out the freezer section and ice dispensers which are very easy to use and also super convenient. All in all it is a very well designed appliance and if the internal components are as good as the outside this will be a fantasist unit and well worth is purchase price.

Not my Dream Fridge

This fridge was in our house when we bought it this year. The particular model is several years old. I noticed the previous owners had turned off the ice maker so I turned it on and several hours later this was pool of water under fridge. I wiped it up and the pool of water formed again. I turned the ice maker off and assessed. Come to find out that hard plastic ice molds has a crack in them so when water goes in them to form ice its just pouring out of the door dispenser and onto the floor. This particular model has a 2nd ice maker in the freezer that is also pouring water into that bin and then freezing in sheets of ice. Pretty disappointed that both icemakers are broken after the fridge is only a few years old. The door chime on this particular model cannot be turned off permanently. It can be turned off for sabbath mode 24hrs so I could keep turning it off every 24 hours otherwise you live with a fridge chiming at you if you leave it open for 30 seconds to put away groceries or get food out. Many people like to store frozen pizzas in freezer. This model didnt incorporate a good compartment for pizza boxes like other models that create a standing slot to place boxes in. You lay them flat in order to get freezer shut and then theyre on top of all the other frozen foods

Overall it has been great for the first 2 weeks

This is the first refrigerator we have bought as the last one lasted 26 years. We especially like the window in the door with the ability to open just that section of the frig. The in-door ice maker is very nice and it still has some small shelves on that side so less loss of space. The freezer is nice and big easy access to all the food hopefully we dont lose stuff in the back like before. The only issue is the freezer door seal isnt sealing properly along the top edge but we called and have a new gasket coming under warranty.

Getting our LG refrigerator serviced

The compressor in my LG stopped working. I called Customer Support and they were amazing in helping me and getting service scheduled. Although it did take over 2 weeks to get it fixed every time I called every employee was very helpful and were very good at following up. Excellent customer service I am so happy that it is fixed I love my refrigerator
